Emergency Blogcast Test

This is a test of the Emergency Blogcast System. Do not panic, this is only a test.

As many of you know I’ve had a little trouble with my feed. By a little trouble I mean that Google has rejected my feed time and time again.  That’s why I don’t show up in the Reading Lists of over 250 people who were kind enough to follow my blog. I’m getting a bit of a complex. Yes, I know, that’s a personal problem.

A blogger friend has been working to fix my feed. That’s a whole other story for another day, and I fully intend to tell it, but for today I can say that little by little she’s getting pieces of the puzzle put together.

So this is a test of the Emergency Blogcast System. I’m writing this in my normal font but a different program to see if the program is the issue. But as long as I have your attention, I’d like to tell you about something that’s coming up next week. Nice segue?

I have a friend I met through blogging who, a few months ago, started a new blog. This is over and above the one she already writes. Her vision for this new blog was to have it be a collaboration. She invited a number of bloggers to join and put together a community. I was one invited to join The Epistolarians.

I have to admit that I’m very skeptical about doing Guest Posts. I’ve done a few but on the last one I got burned. Like third degree burns. So instead of diving in the deep end of the Epistolarian pool, I’ve been sticking my big toe in the water. I’ve written a few things and I have done a lot of behind the scenes work, coming up with this main logo for the site:

and this secondary logo as well:

Now I’ve decided to make my first attempt at sink or swim.

Be sure to look for me:

Next week.

This has been a test of the Emergency Blogcast System. All is well folks, nothing to see here, go on back to what you were doing.

  3. Nice! I understand your skepticism about being a guest blogger. I will say this, I'd be thrilled if ANYONE asked me to guest blog for them! So there ya go. You are very lucky, lady, despite your feed problems. ;-) I hope you get it figured out!

  4. Sorry you've had such trouble.
In September I locked myself out of my blog for a week.
I know... I'm just special that way.
Looking forward to checking out how your big toe looks in the water. ;)

  5. You are the logo master! Someday you must teach me your ways. All I have is this Rooster...haha! It would be cooler if he were typing at a computer or something.

I would like to hear your getting burned experience someday. I haven't done much guest posting myself. I want to know what I should be on the look out for.

    1. The logos I made in a program, no talent required, just lots and lots and lots of patience. Your gorgeous Rooster was hand painted. I'd love to just have that Rooster.

  6. Hey Karen. It shows up in my feed!!!! Halla-flippin-lujia :) I must admit though, that I found out about your new post through FB. No matter...
I'm thrilled for you and your new side job. (I became a fan yesterday..)
Fingers crossed that this is the LAST of your blog nightmares. You've done too much good in the blogworld to have to deal with anything else.
Since you didn't post a recipe, I'm assuming you must have meant Margaritas all around; to which I say again, Halla-flippin-lujia :)

    1. I can't believe this. Before it updated at bloggers.com but not readers. Now it's updating in reader feeds but not on bloggers. I seriously can't win! Yes, Margaritas all around, halla-flippin-lujia, that'll help!

  7. So, you're the one who made the logos! I love them, especially the last one! :D

Interesting that you got burned doing a guest post! My first guest post was a a bit of a let-down coz I thought I would get new readers and did not; but third degree burns sounds scary! Well, no chance of that happening here!

    1. Yes, I've done 3. My first was a good experience, second was similar to what you say, a let down but nothing life threatening. The third, however, I'm still recovering from that experience.
