Cookie Exchange

Today I’m hosting a cookie exchange here on the blog. It’s not your average cookie exchange. In fact, there’s good news and there’s bad news.

Good news: you don’t have to bake a bunch of cookies to attend.
Bad news: if you want to end up with a pile of cookies, you’re going to have to bake them yourself.
Good news: I’ve got 26 cookie and bar choices at this party and links to all of the recipes.
Bad news: due to the proximity restrictions, this exchange is going to have to be BYOB.
Good news: you don’t have to dress up to attend. In fact, you don’t even have to leave your couch.

So here they are, 20 cookies from the Baking In A Tornado archives. Hope you find some options you love.

  1. These look awesome!!! My daughter is the baker in my house...I forget key ingredients like sugar and eggs...and I burn half of it too. Ugh. So much better with a stovetop! But my daughter makes great cookies so I will share these with her!

  2. The pictures alone are making me wish I baked. In fact, screw it! There are recipes here I can (try to) follow &, if all else fails, I've been meaning to install a fire extinguisher anyway. I'll organize that before I get started.

  3. Ahhhhh! My mind has just been blown! I love to bake over the holidays and these are wonderful new recipes for me! I have your fluffernutter ones printed out and will be making them at Christmas, but my youngest hates anything with peanuts or p/b (what a goob!) so I need one he'll enjoy and I'll find one from this list fer sher! So fun, Karen! Love it!

    1. Glad I had a few peanut butter options for you. And the Strawberry peek-a-boos really are good. Maybe you should start at the top and work your way down to the end.

  5. Oh, my word! They all look so good, even though I'm still stuffed from Thanksgiving! The fluffernutter cookies are my favorite, and will be first on my list to make. Thank you, Karen!

    1. In retrospect this might not have been the best day to post my Cookie Exchange. I'm still pretty stuffed myself.

  7. They look so nice Karen and I can see myself expanding around the waistline already. I must admit, I'm rubbish at baking so I don't do it often, but I'll no doubt have a go, but I can assure you that the end result will look nothing like yours. Thanks for the recipes and have a wonderful weekend.

    1. If you're not great a baking, cookies are a good place to start, they really aren't all that difficult. Now decorating a cake, that scares me!
