Funny Friday: Excuses, Excuses

Today’s post is this month’s Funny Friday, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write 5 captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. Links to the other bloggers’ posts are below, click on them and see what they’ve come up with. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your weekend.

Funny Friday, a picture captioning blog challenge | picture submitted by Candice of Measurements of Merriment | Presented on www.BakingInATornado.com | #funny #laugh

1. Mom to little girl: What do you mean you forgot to put on underwear?

2. Mom to Dad: Sorry, I know we were excited to take her sledding, but apparently having all this snow gear put on you is exhausting.

3. Dad to Mom: Are you sure she's supposed to bend that way?

4. Little girl to her mom: I've had enough of the cold weather. Wake me up when its spring.

5. Mom to little girl: OK, that's it, you're out of excuses, time to go out and play.
Little girl to mom: I can't go, Mom, my belly will get cold. See . . .

And now for a simple side dish recipe:

  4. We call that planking in our house. The twins do it when they aren't getting their way. Only minus the winter gear lol. Happy New Year!

  5. Love love love. 4 is literally me. I've said it 3 times in the past week. I'm grateful I live in California. I'd die in the colder weather. Thank you for all the laughs!!

Question... I cannot have broccoli. This will be perfect to make for Chad and Whit. When I want to make it for me too... Good substitute for the broccoli? Or just make it without?

Thank you for the laughs and new recipe!!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend, and a fabulous 2017!!

    1. Yes, that's me too, wake me up when it's spring!
About the recipe. You could do either. Skip the broccoli or replace with something else. If you want to PM me and let me know what you can eat, we can talk about what might be good. Otherwise, just experiment, try another vegetable, cooked and chopped.

    1. I agree, that's why I love summer. No coat, no hat, no gloves, throw on the flip flops and go.
