When I got my hair cut short, Daddy called me 'Mike'. Not sure why. But Mom told him to find a less boyish name and I became 'Lou'. from my middle name of Louise. That one stuck forever.<br />I love your train of names. And I went back to your 2014 posts and found your 'Mona Lisa' post. I would have to agree. I think the resemblance is very much in evidence. My cousin got 'Kare' her whole life. It's funny now to think of adding the 'n'. :)Diane Stringam Tolleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09629946536985545457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4199397575911294318.post-34399779988215938392019-07-07T09:09:16.213-05:002019-07-07T09:09:16.213-05:00I like that, Princess TT!I like that, Princess TT!Karen BakingInATornadohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04908944310611937600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4199397575911294318.post-46061728668529721722019-07-07T07:25:40.249-05:002019-07-07T07:25:40.249-05:00Ha ha, do I have a nickname. Some friends and neighbors used to call me Barbecue when I was growing up, and I hated it. So my mom called me Suzy-Q. When the Barbie doll became popular, I was Barbi. Then, in high school my boyfriend's name was....you guessed it.....Ken, so that ended. Since college I have been just Barb, except, like you, I really liked being Mom. Until I had grandkids, and now I am MiMi. I think you're going to like having that to look forward to, whether it's Gran, or Nana, or whatever, it's the best!Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02425163349734675187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4199397575911294318.post-65476940264873647062019-07-05T16:02:35.313-05:002019-07-05T16:02:35.313-05:00Hope you make it sometime for friends and family.Hope you make it sometime for friends and family.Karen BakingInATornadohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04908944310611937600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4199397575911294318.post-11689911646509175092019-07-05T15:05:51.651-05:002019-07-05T15:05:51.651-05:00I didn't have a nickname - maybe my first name...I didn't have a nickname - maybe my first name doesn't lend itself. Like my husband and I call each other Pooch, Poochie, or Poochie Bear. That came from a show we used to watch about a late night hot dog stand in Chicago and the main employee was called Poochie and that was how it all started. My father used to call me (and I'm probably not spelling it correctly)Weinersnitzel. Don't as me why, but he did.
