Anyone want to play a game? Come on, humor me. I went to all the trouble of setting it up, all you really have to do is just play along. It’s pretty easy, I promise.
Do you remember that Sesame Street song abut choosing an item in a grouping that doesn’t fit? You know: “one of these things is not like the other. . .” Well, clearly I have too much time on my hands now that College Boy is (mostly) gone (other than when he comes home to relieve me of all my food, toiletries and paper goods, that is).
Can you guess which thing is not like the other? If I promise not to sing you the song?

What an amusing presentation. Thanks for putting it together. I was wondering where it was going but the end tied it together for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I was really trying to go anywhere specific, just looking for a laugh, an amusing look at motherhood and family life.
DeleteHA HA HA - love it!! I was having a really hard time figuring out what didn't belong so I'm glad I'm not totally losing my mind…yet!
ReplyDeleteNo, I'm pretty sure the person who's lost her mind is the one who spent all that time putting this post together.
DeleteI was SO confused because I couldn't figure out what went with what saying and why.... oh my, I need to get some sleep!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun game to play and love the wit and surely the whim behind it!!! That recipe looks delicious too!
Was it that hard to understand? Maybe I'M the one who needs some sleep.
DeleteToddlers and teenagers never belong with the other things. It's just how it is.
ReplyDeleteOh was that not what you were going for?
(I think daylight savings time is messing with my brain or something. Cannot.Comprehend.Anything. Caffeine please, or one of the mint crinkles might help.)
No, that was exactly right. Toddler and teenagers never belong with other things. You got it. Or you got half of it, you had toddlers, wait till you hit the teen years.
DeleteThis is a great post. Not sure if I got all the things that didn't go with the other, but then I haven't been getting enough sleep of late, so I probably not thinking to clearly. I wouldn't mind one of your cookies, they look really yummy!
ReplyDeleteThose cookies are so delish. I'm a big Andes fan and you can definitely taste the Andes in these cookies.
DeleteHahahahaha! All of these were too funny. Your kid knows the right states to go get an education! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'll have some of those mint chocolate crinkles now!
Yay, you got them. I'd happily share the Crinkles if there were any left.
DeleteI need to get my mind in gear for this one as I got a little confused at first but I think I've got it now. Just look at all the roles mothers have to play in this life. Thumbs up to all those who haven't gone completely mad yet...
ReplyDeleteApparently I'm not in that group, the ones who haven't gone completely mad yet.
DeleteI love it! And the cookies look great. This made my morning, thank you!
ReplyDeleteYAY. You got it. Not sure if that means you have the same sense of humor as I do or that you're nuts like me. Let's go with the sense of humor thing.
DeleteBwahahahaha! That was so much fun! And yes, we Moms know they all apply!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got them. Guess you've been through some of the same experiences I have!
DeleteSomething different... very nice. Enjoyed this one. Love your 'new' look. Take care, Slu
ReplyDeleteThanks, Slu. Hope all is well with you.
DeleteYou always have the best games, my answers aren't always consistent, guess I need more tequila, I will be back with you for the real answer, as for those cookies, just fabulous! Nettie
ReplyDeleteI don't think my perception of all of those situations is consistent either. Pass the Patron!
DeleteYou do have way too much time on your hands! I barely have time to put pictures in my post and here you've made a dozen or so. Good game!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it. I have to admit it did take quite a chunk of time to do.
DeleteJust found this post and so glad I did. Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got it, this one took quite a while to do.
