My subject is: What’s on your “must do” list before the snow flies this year? It was submitted by It's Yummi. Here goes:

Let me just start by saying this: if I’m going to get through this list, the snow better not fly for a long, long, long time. Maybe forever.

And what’s on my list? Well, how long have you got?

Before the snow flies:
*Win powerball.
*Have a ski mountain built in my back yard. No, not a dinky little hill either, although that would be a start around here.
*Invent a built in body warmer for when I go out in the cold. And no, extra body fat isn’t what I had in mind.
*Find a way to entice my college student to call home other than when he needs something.
*See my blog go viral.
*Get the garage heated. Oh, and the driveway too, may as well.
*Win powerball.
*Find a store that delivers my groceries. And puts them away too, please.
*Find a liquor store that delivers. No need to put anything away, thanks.

*Has anyone gifted me a private Island yet? No? OK, put it on the list. I’d like it before the snow flies. And a private jet to get there would be nice, but no pressure.
* Is it too late to plant cacao trees in the back yard? ‘Cause I’m gonna need that or a money tree with the price of chocolate these days.
*Make millions something . . . anything . . . from my (collaborative) book.
*Get my new blog up and running. Or even close. Or just pick a logo and a template. Or even a logo OR a template. Or make any decision at all, really.

*Stop the gray hairs from growing. ‘Cause pulling them all out is really starting to take up too much of my day.
*Buy . . . wait, I need to google how many days winter is . . . 89. OK, but 89 pairs of sweat pants and 89 hoodies.
*Win powerball. Ummm, did I already mention that?
So that’s my list. Well, not really my whole list, but it’s a start.

  1. Good gravy... I want your world and everything in it to flip on its axis and make your wildest dreams come true! Would tomorrow be too soon? I would do it for you today, but I need to give up my sobriety today so that I can have an appletini... Don't worry, I'll buy you a Powerball ticket while I'm at the liquor store ♥

  8. I want my groceries and liquor delivered, too! I don't need anything heated or warmed here---in fact, I wish I had the snow every now and then. I could drink this delicious cocktail you've concocted and stay warm. And no worries--I'm no wimp--I'll make it just like you said, haha! Great job on your prompt!

  9. Is it Kismet that I have all of the ingredients for the Apple Pie Shotini? And it's Friday? I feel as if I've won the lottery. Girl, we had snow on the second day of October. It's gone now, but my trust in the sunny weather gods has declined for sure. I want a tropical island and drinks. Or just drinks. And you. I miss you!

  10. Dear Karen, I don't know about you - but I would definitely need to add 89 pairs of fluffy socks to the list. Then again, I am just a wimp with cold feet. 46°F around here. An old school friend who lives in the Swiss Alps even had some serious snow last night. Better have another appletini! Thank you for the opportunity to play secret subject swap with you and your friends :-)

    1. Sure, snowboarding is just fine. I ski but my kids know how to snowboard. Guess I'm going to have to try it myself once I get that ski mountain built.

Let me know how you like the drinks with the juice.

  15. A liquor store that delivers? Why have I never thought of this? Who cares that I can walk to the liquor store, make a purchase, & walk home again in under 10 minutes? That's 5 minutes wasted that I could be, well, getting wasted!! Of course, my son works at a liquor store, so texting him to bring home a bottle for Mom is kinda like delivery, right? Thanks for sharing the recipe!!

    1. Yeah, the idea of a delivering liquor store has been a popular one in this post. But it sounds like you have it covered with your son working at one. My son's a lifeguard and he's never brought me home a pool!

  16. Win powerball are numbers 1-9 on my top ten list!

Also, here in NYC some liquor stores do deliver!

    1. I agree with your numbers 1 through 9. Would have done it that way myself but I sorta felt like it wouldn't make the most interesting post. . .
